CHARITIES WE SUPPORT
Giving a helping hand to the local community and wider world
At Timbawood it is important to us to support charities and organisations that provide vital services to the vulnerable and those in need. That is why we are proud to support the two following charities: Triple B Care Projects, a small charity in the Philippines that we have a personal connection to, and Crisis, who do the vital work of helping to end homelessness.
In the Philippines, many people who suffer burns injuries end up having their arms or legs amputated because of the lack of adequate medical care.
Triple B Care Projects, Inc is a Non-Government Organisation (NGO) providing urgent care and treatment for children and adults with burns, cleft lip/ palate and parasite infestation in Zambales, Philippines.
Val Smith-Orr, a British trained specialist in Burns care & reconstructive surgery has been tirelessly working in the local community in a small 2 room facility to provide an international level of emergency and ongoing care to thousands of burns victims.
At Timbawood we support Triple B Care Projects in a number of ways: helping the distribution of medical supplies from the UK, and supporting their fundraising campaign to raise £200,000 to build a larger medical facility to enable more extensive care for the local community and beyond.

Through their 50-year history of pioneering research and supporting thousands of people out of homelessness, Crisis know more than ever about the causes of homelessness and what it will take to end it.
They are working to end homelessness in the following ways:
- Supporting people out of homelessness for good, through education, training and support with housing, employment and health. They offer one to one support, advice and courses for homeless people in 12 areas across England, Scotland and Wales.
- Helping homeless people find and keep a rented home, by working with landlords to ensure a supply of places to live, and giving homeless people the tools and knowledge they need to rent successfully.
- Carrying out pioneering research into the causes and consequences of homelessness, and campaigning for the changes needed to end it for everyone, for good.
- Working with others to produce a plan to end homelessness once and for all.
At Timbawood we value the importance of having a safe and secure home, and are committed to supporting Crisis’ mission, particularly during their Christmas campaign.
