Our prospective clients came to us with a challenge. They were renovating a substantial character property in Surrey, and were very keen to maintain the original period look, while updating the performance of their period windows and doors. They also wanted to include the addition of bifold doors, to maximise the space and light in their kitchen and living areas, without compromising the look of the exterior.
The additional challenge for us at Timbawood was that the casement windows needed to be a variety of sizes and designs.
Our technical team came up with a concept for the property that featured slender glazing bars throughout the window and door design, from the casement windows to the bifolding doors and French doors, to give the house a coordinated look in keeping with the original style of the property.
